We will begin the Lenten journey this Wednesday with the blessing and distribution of ashes for those who would like to participate, a short talk, and a communion service. This year we will be using a series titled Thy Will Be Done. In this service for Ash Wednesday—God’s Will and God’s Promise—we remember that by faith, Abraham trusted the will of God when he promised that a son would be born to him. God’s will was done when that son, Isaac, was born, and God’s will was done when his Son, Jesus, came into the world to redeem his people. We hope that many of you will make this Lenten journey with us each week.
